Karpathos [starting 2001 …]
Greece as it couldn’t be more beautiful. Located next to Crete, Karpathos is one of the barren and rough islands of Greece. Besides the most beautiful beaches for swimming Karpathos is also visited by surfers. Hospitality, food and beaches – everything is perfect! That’s why we come back here again and again.
After visiting some Maldives islands we were looking forward to Eriyadu for a long time – with reason – Eryiadu is another jewel of our Maldives trips. A pretty little island, equipped with everything that is needed. Also the house reef and the variety of fishes are nice. If you like diving/snorkeling with sharks, this is the place to be.
Santorini [2018]
Santorini is popular and therefore well visited. But that doesn’t bother – relaxing and bathing is a minor matter here.
Beautiful views from the villages in the mountains to the volcano crater, high quality restaurants `
and shops and above all impressive sunsets make Santorini so lovely.
The temples of Angkor Wat – impressive, beautiful and mysterious. A magical scenery of stones, temples and jungle. But this area offers even more highlights. River villages on stilts, unbelievable mangrove forests but above all natural and extremely friendly personalities.
Thailand [2017]
Thailand offers everything – beautiful landscapes, endless beaches and sea, spirituality and numerous Buddhist temples, interesting national parks with an impressive fauna and flora and best of all – Thai food.
Many reasons to visit Thailand frequently 🙂
Cruise – Western mediterranean sea [2017]
Sometimes large cruise ships do not have the best reputation – high environmental impact, too many passengers or short-term overcapacity at some destinations are some arguments against a cruise. But there are also arguments for a cruise. A lot of different impressions, the special experience of shipping, more flexibility than expected and always a place on the ship where you can be completely undisturbed.
Andalusia [2016]
Where can you find the most beautiful cities? Probably in Andalusia – personal favourite: Seville.
The Moorish period (8-15th century) gives this area a unique character. Wild guitar sounds and passionate flamenco can be seen everywhere.
Among many Maldives Islands Embudu is one of our top favourites! One of the most beautiful house reefs (coral garden), well-maintained island with high hospitality, very good food and nice guests (many divers). The price level has been attractive for many years. We are looking forward to our next Embudu trip 🙂
Mallorca [2015/2017]
Mallorca has the reputation of a party and fun island – right – you can have that. But there is also another Mallorca with less frequented, beautiful landscapes, great coastlines, nice villages and an exciting capital with amazing sights, restaurants, bars and shops.
An area full of charm. Nobody has a better feeling for making villages so pretty and detailed. Beside the beautiful French Riviera / Côte d’Azur there are many charming villages near Nice.
Barcelona [2014/2017]
Thailand offers everything – beautiful landscapes, endless beaches and sea, spirituality and numerous Buddhist temples, interesting national parks with an impressive fauna and flora and best of all – Thai food. Many reasons to visit Thailand frequently 🙂
The special feature of Fihalhohi are the palm trees on the island. This makes a strong tropical atmosphere. Unfortunately the house reef is slightly damaged by El Niño (also at other Maldives islands) – but the fish variety is still rich. We liked Fihalhohi – that’s why we came back.
Rome, Naples and Capri [2010]
Bella Italia! Rome – probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world – full of life, culture and culinary highlights. Naples – as temperamental as Vesuvius itself.
A varied trip to Rome, Naples,
Vesuvius, Pompeii and Capri.
Wow – Manta ray soup – and the best: We’re in the middle. I’ve never been so close with manta rays before. Ellaidhoo is an attractive island and offers everything, that a beautiful Maldives island should offer. The variety of fish is impressive, dive spots in the area are excellent.
Sri Lanka [2010]
Pearl of the Indian Ocean – exotic and tropical.
Due to the different climate zones, everything lives and grows here.
Everywhere palm trees, delicious food (best curries), nice and hospitable people, extensive tea fields with the best tea producers of the world, national parks with a beautiful fauna and flora, and, and…
Our first Embudu trip to a very reasonable price. A great stay – the island immediately took our hearts. Embudu is beautiful – and offers one of the most attractive house reefs. With the Embudu Channel also experienced divers have a lot of fun.
Velidhoo – Maldives [2009]
Everything is fine on Velidhu – a typical Maldives island with a nice house reef, numerous fish and swarms of fish, attractive optics and good management. With strong currents during our stay diving was stressful.
In Dubai we have already been often – mostly only at the airport. However, Dubai offers a really interesting holiday program: excellent food, interesting markets (Sūq/Aswāq), great aquariums and the best of all: trips to the desert.
Paris [2009]
Paris presents itself to us as a city with great commitment to art. Almost every street has a gallery – if you want it bigger, you can visit many museums in Paris. My favourite: The Picasso Museum – here you can feel, understand and love Picasso.
What a perfect Maldives island! Located within the south Ari Atoll, it offers very attractive and relaxed dives (!!! Whale Shark Alarm !!!) The house reef is great and the island a feast for eyes. Beside all these beauties there is also a fantastic kitchen…
Thailand [2008]
Our first stay in Thailand.
An exciting family holiday with many cultural highlights, impressive landscapes and perfect food.
Culture in the north, relaxation in the south.
Our second Maldives trip – the fear of the underwater world is getting less and less (here are only friendly sharks!).
Fihalhohi welcomes us with endless palm trees and perfect conditions. All in all a perfect stay.
I will never forget our stay in Cuba. I have never seen more impressions anywhere before. Cuba is exciting and inspiring – rich in fauna and flora, beautiful landscapes, impressive personalities, temperamental music and dances, joy of life, and, and, and…
Our first Maldives trip. What an adventure – and what a great impression of this fantastic underwater world. The species and variety of fish are unbelievable. Thulhagiri is a nice little island within the North Male Atoll. On Thuhagiri the Maldives virus has caught us immediately 🙂
